AI B-Roll Transitions Without Inventing a Floor Plan
An AI transition should not imply a physical route that the source material does not establish. Use clear cuts or restrained motion between verified views when a seamless generated journey would require inventing doorways, corridors or room relationships.

Distinguish an edit from a documented movement
A cut can move from the kitchen to a bedroom without claiming they are directly connected. A simulated continuous camera journey may suggest exactly that. Decide what the transition communicates, not just how smooth it looks. If the route matters, use suitable real footage or verified coverage of the connection.
Check what generation reveals beyond the source
Newly visible areas need particular scrutiny. A single photograph cannot establish every wall or opening beyond its edges. Compare the result with available property references and do not accept plausible geometry as factual simply because it looks natural. The brief should explicitly exclude invented connections in a listing presentation.
Choose a simpler transition when appropriate
A direct cut, a brief fade or separate restrained movements can preserve the distinction between rooms. The transition does not need to become the subject of the video. Keep orientation clear and ensure any text describes the actual spaces rather than reinforcing a fictional route created by the effect.
Example: kitchen to an upstairs bedroom
An illustrative edit can cut between those spaces after an establishing view of the stairs, if available. It should not generate a doorway beside the kitchen that opens directly into the bedroom. A seamless effect would be less accurate than an ordinary edit in that case.
Transition accuracy
- Ask what physical relationship the effect implies.
- Inspect areas revealed beyond the source image.
- Use verified references for important connections.
- Choose a simple edit when a continuous route would be invented.
Frequently asked questions
Is every generated transition misleading?
No. The issue is what it implies about the property. Review the effect in context and avoid presenting invented spatial relationships as real.
Can a floor plan help with review?
A verified plan can supply context, but it does not automatically make generated unseen footage accurate. Check the actual output against appropriate property references.
