Property Reel or Full Video Tour?
Choose a property reel for a concise introduction and a longer property film when you need more space to develop the home's story. Neither format is automatically a complete interactive tour, so define the viewer's task and the expected coverage before booking.

Decide how much information the viewer needs now
A reel can introduce one feature and direct viewers to the full listing. A longer film can develop several spaces, transitions and details at a more measured pace. If viewers need to navigate rooms independently, discuss an interactive tour instead of assuming a longer edited video provides the same experience.
Match the format to its destination
A phone feed often calls for vertical composition and a clear opening. A property page or presentation may use a different orientation and duration. Confirm the required versions before capture. Converting a full film into a reel may require more than shortening it if the original framing does not suit a narrow crop.
Avoid promising complete coverage from a selective edit
Agree which rooms and features will appear. A reel should not imply it shows everything, and a longer film can still omit spaces deliberately. Keep photographs, plans or tours available to answer questions the edited video leaves open. Each asset should have a distinct role in the marketing package.
Example: two stages of discovery
An illustrative reel could introduce a home's outdoor living connection and lead to a property page containing a longer film and gallery. The reel attracts attention to one concrete idea; the additional assets help viewers investigate the broader home at their own pace.
Choose the format
- Define introduction, guided story or interactive exploration.
- Name the viewing destinations.
- Confirm orientation, duration and included spaces.
- Plan supporting assets for information the video does not cover.
Frequently asked questions
Is a full video always better than a reel?
No. A concise introduction may fit the immediate use better. Choose based on the viewer's needs and distribution plan rather than length alone.
Can both be produced from one session?
Ask AVS about coordinated coverage and deliverables. Planning both in advance helps ensure suitable framing and enough material for each version.
