AI B-Roll Clips Versus an AI Property Reel
AI B-roll clips are supporting pieces intended for another edit; an AI property reel is an assembled presentation with its own sequence. Request the deliverable that matches your workflow, and confirm whether text, branding, audio and final assembly are included.

Choose inserts when another edit already exists
B-roll is useful when an editor needs a specific room view or detail under narration or between scenes. Define each clip's role and required format. A collection of inserts does not automatically become a finished social post, because sequencing, titles, audio and the ending may still need separate work.
Choose a reel when you need a complete presentation
A reel needs an opening, supporting views and a clear conclusion. Its sources should work together as one property story. Confirm the intended destination and branding, and do not assume that every supplied image should appear. The final assembly needs review for both clip accuracy and the relationships implied by the sequence.
Compare scope rather than only duration
A short supporting clip and a longer reel may require different preparation and editing. Ask what is included in the current AVS service, including revisions and delivery. Both require suitable source images, adaptation rights and a check for generated changes to property features. A shorter clip does not need less factual care.
Example: support a filmed introduction
An illustrative project with an existing agent introduction may need only two source-based detail inserts. A separate request for a standalone property introduction needs a complete reel structure. Clarifying that distinction prevents an editor from receiving clips when the client expected a ready-to-publish presentation.
Deliverable comparison
- Decide whether another edit already supplies the story.
- List required inserts or the complete reel sequence.
- Confirm text, branding, audio and assembly scope.
- Apply the same source-accuracy review to both options.
Frequently asked questions
Can B-roll be published by itself?
It may be usable in some contexts, but confirm whether it includes the identification, framing and ending needed for that purpose. Do not assume a raw insert is a finished reel.
Can a reel be broken into B-roll later?
Sometimes, depending on the available files and usage agreement. Plan the need in advance so clean clips without permanent overlays can be considered.
