Property Address Cards in Drone Videos

An address card should identify the listing without obscuring the image or overwhelming the opening. Plan its wording, placement and branding for the intended destination, and keep an editable version so corrections do not require rebuilding the entire film.

Use the information viewers need

Confirm the exact address, unit designation and city with the listing representative. Decide whether the opening needs the complete address or a shorter property identifier. Avoid adding every feature, phone number and logo to one frame. The film can introduce the home visually while a later card provides the next step.

Check legibility in the actual export

Review the card on a phone and a larger screen at normal playback size. Text should remain readable over changing imagery, not just on the editor's paused preview. Use adequate contrast and enough display time. Do not place important words over bright windows, busy tree branches or interface elements that may cover the image.

Confirm branded and unbranded requirements

Some destinations distinguish between property information and agent branding. Check the current requirements for the channel where the film will appear. Tell AVS if separate versions are needed before editing begins. Keep logos, names and contact details supplied by the client rather than reconstructing them from an old screenshot.

Example: separate identification from contact

An illustrative opening card could show the verified address briefly over a clear establishing view. The ending could then show the agreed contact or booking destination. This separates two jobs and gives the property imagery more room than a persistent block of promotional text throughout the film.

Address-card proofread

  • Verify address spelling and unit details.
  • Review contrast and display time on a phone.
  • Confirm branding requirements for the destination.
  • Check the final contact details and retain an editable source.

Frequently asked questions

Should the address remain on screen throughout?

Usually it does not need to. Use it long enough to identify the listing, then allow the footage to explain the property without continuous text obstruction.

Can I reuse an old address-card template?

Yes, after checking every field, logo and destination requirement. Old templates can carry outdated contact information or formatting that no longer fits the current edit.
